September, 2009
• September 1st: We welcome Sir Noggin into our home (though he still had no name).
• September 5th: Sir Noggin visits Bergh-Memorial Animal Hospital for his first examination. He also begins regular immunizations.
• September 21st: Sir Noggin has his first severe headache. He stops eating and sleeping and we feared the worst. After several hours, though, he perks up again and begins his usual happy romping.
• September 22nd: Sir Noggin bumps his head while playing, which causes him a great deal of pain and inspires us to make a YouTube video and this website, in the hopes of raising some money for treatment. WoW Radio spreads the word on Twitter and on their own front page, helping us tremendously.
• September 26th: Sir Noggin revisits Bergh-Memorial Animal Hospital for another round of vaccines and a check up. Having seen his YouTube video, his vet is more concerned about his lump. Still, Sir Noggin is behaving quite normally, developing at the usual pace, and donations are pouring in from all over the world, thanks largely to WoW Radio.

November, 2009
• November 9th: Sir Noggin travels to Cornell University in Ithaca, NY where he is placed in intensive care before his surgery. They do a full examination, confirming that Sir Noggin's only abnormality is the painful lump on his head & skull deformity.
• November 10th: Sir Noggin continues to do well in boarding in ICU. He is very playful and had an excellent appetite.
• November 11th: Sir Noggin is bright and alert, with normal vitals. After some blood testing, doctors realize he is mildly anemic. They give him a blood transfusion before surgery. Under anesthesia, Sir Noggin has a CT scan to get another look at his head. The doctors went forward with the surgery and confirmed the placement of the mesh titanium plate and screws afterward with a second CT scan. Noggin recovered from anesthesia uneventfully, and was treated by IV for possible infection and for pain. Noggin rested comfortably, with a slightly elevated temperature.
• November 12th & 13th: Sir Noggin recovers in ICU, growing more playful and hungry as the hours pass. The incision is healing very well.
• November 14th: Sir Noggin is bright & alert in his cage in ICU. His vitals are normal and he is playful. His appetite is excellent and he is using the litter box normally. He is now receiving medications orally. He goes home.
• November 20th: Sir Noggin's scar is revealed as the surgical glue begins to fall off. He has a scar from the center of his forehead to around his shoulder blades.
• November 25th: Sir Noggin finishes his steroids and antibiotics. Fur is beginning to cover up his scar.
